FT Field Sales Specialist

Summary: The Field Sales Representative role is designed to provide first class Direct Store Delivery service at the retail level by providing a number of support functions to the Field Sales Team. The primary role of this position is to provide merchandising support to predetermined accounts. The key focus areas include full shelf conditions, proper product rotation, product integrity practices, display building, and accurate placement of price tags and display material (POS). Field Sales Representatives are trained on in-store ordering, and selling, and may assist with retail coverage. The role is also responsible for identifying issues and opportunities; as well as building rapport with key decision makers at store level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Merchandise, maintain plano-grammed facings.
  • Travels through assigned territories to make service calls to customers.
  • Perform tasks in Handheld Computer including daily service patterns, and ordering.
  • Maintain tags and rotate product.
  • Provide reset support at all retail accounts for all partner brands as needed.
  • Maintain professional productive relationships with all store personnel
  • Must be able to provide additional sales retail coverage during promotional periods including Sundays.
  • Must be able to adapt to new service schedules, as assigned customer responsibilities will change frequently.
  • Must conform to all company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and pack out DSD branded items from backroom to sales floor.
  • Assist in good housekeeping practices in the backroom and inline freezer equipment. (Keeping neat, organized, and free of debris.)
  • Assist in the identifying, proper separation of, and containment of credits versus sellable product.

Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel within the geography of assigned Field Sales Team, and possibly provide coverage to additional field sales teams which could include overnight travel that shall not exceed 10% of annual work days. Reliable transportation and a drivers license is required for this position.
